Fallen Officer Table
[edit]I made a nice table listing all fallen officers, but it seems to settle to the bottom of the page. Can anyone move it tot he correct section? Paul, in Saudi (talk) 08:34, 25 April 2013 (UTC)
BGF April 2013
[edit]Looks like BGF and Maryland corrections officers are back in the headlines in a big way. This seems to have enough widespread coverage to warrant inclusion. I would, however, urge attention to due weight and avoidance of recentism. The following links give some of the sources which may be considered for inclusion, and note this is not just being reported in Baltimore, but also in Los Angeles, Australia and Serbia. Wilhelm Meis (☎ Diskuss | ✍ Beiträge) 21:44, 26 April 2013 (UTC)
- CBS News: Four female prison guards impregnated by same inmate (4-24-13)
- Baltimore Sun: BGF gang indictment leads to state hearings (4-25-13)
- NY Daily News: Gang leader fathers five children with four female prison guards, Maryland authorities say (4-25-13)
- Washington Post: 13 corrections officers indicted in Md., accused of aiding gang’s drug scheme (4-25-13)
- L.A. Times: Drugs, sex and collusion behind bars in Maryland, indictment says (4-25-13)
- Time: Racketeering, Smuggling, Sex with Guards: 25 Indicted in Massive Baltimore Prison Scandal (4-24-13)
- The Australian: Gang chief fathers kids with multiple warders (4-27-13)
- InSerbia: Sex, Drugs in Massive Baltimore Prison Scandal (4-25-13)
- Washington Post: Jail corruption case appears similar to gang infiltration in prison in 2009 (4-25-13)
- I would prefer this stuff be included in a misconduct section. Many police department articles have them. Ideally, the stories would be in articles on each facility, but oddly few of the facilities have articles. Go figure. Paul, in Saudi (talk) 02:00, 27 April 2013 (UTC)
References should be removed altogether. BGF is widespread and active across the nation. Maybe leave the reference to DMI, as that is a MD prison gang. Also the info about the corrupt officers doesn't belong in the facilities listing, and it's inacurate to begin with. They were from BCDC not BCCC. Create a separate facility page and put it there.
