Draft genomes included

[edit]

The article first paragraph had said that draft genome sequences aren't included, but most of the genomes in the list were in fact only sequenced in draft, as will most newly sequenced species in future. So I've changed it to say that substantially complete draft sequences are included. Any objections?Jbening (talk) 13:42, 11 December 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Nothing from me (also sorry I'm replying to you 12 years later) RenaMoonn (talk) 18:39, 15 August 2024 (UTC)[reply]

On Mammoths and Mastodons...

[edit]

I know nobody really visits or adds to this page (at least at the time im editing), but I'm wondering what to do when citing the genome of a prehistoric animal (say a mammoth) when we have multiple genomes of them from across time. I'm also wondering what to do if certain lineages (such as the Colombian Mammoth) are a result of hybridization and we have the lineages of both of their ancestors.

I'll sort this out eventually, just need to get my thoughts out. RenaMoonn (talk) 22:07, 6 February 2025 (UTC)[reply]
