Need to replace reference

[edit]

Need to replace reference: "Divisão Territorial do Brasil" [Territorial Divisions of Brazil] (Zip file) (in Portuguese). Brazilian Institute of Geography and Statistics. 1 July 2008. Retrieved 26 November 2011.[permanent dead link]

Update from 2017

[edit]

This article needs to have the mesoregion and microregion tabs updated, as they are from before 2017 and make them into the corresponding immediate and intermediate regions. I would also suggest making it a little more organized and have it sorted by immediate and intermediate regions similar to other lists of municips in Brazil. I don't have the time to do that right now, and also it is discouraged from making making major changes to already featured articles and lists, so I'm going to just put this here and further discussion can appear. Grouping methods of municipalities

[edit]

I know this might sound odd or off, but has anyone suggested for each article of each federative unit (i.e.: state, etc.; name example: "List of municipalities in Rio Grande do ") within the nation of Brazil have the following grouping methods for their municipalities? For context, before 2017, the municipalities were grouped by 'microregions' (Portuguese: Microrregiões), which were further grouped by 'mesoregions' (Portuguese: Mesorregiões). Now since 2017, they are now grouped by 'immediate geographic regions' (Portuguese: Regiões Geográficas Imediatas) and 'intermediate geographic regions' (Portuguese: Regiões Geográficas Intermediárias). Wouldn't it make sense to have both variations for comparison purposes? jlog3000 (talk) 21:21, 24 May 2025 (UTC)[reply]
