add "crucco" (pl. crucchi): an italian ethnic oejorative term for "german" (noun and adj.)
[edit]From serbocroation "kruh"=Bread. In WW I used for austro-ungarian prisoners of croatian nationality in Italian camps because, when hungry, they begged for "kruh". In WW II applied to german soldiers by italian soldiers fighting with them in the USSR and later by italian partisans. Sources: https://www.treccani.it/vocabolario/ricerca/crucco/

More slurs for white American men
[edit]Brute, barbarian, Neanderthal, caveman, conquistador, colonizer 2601:447:D082:C4C0:884C:6A13:FCEB:35A3 (talk) 10:45, 27 December 2024 (UTC)

South African slur 'Land thief' description should be changed
[edit]Original description: "Land thief (South Africa) a white person from South Africa. The term implies that white people stole land from black people during the Apartheid era, and are therefore responsible for the current economic and social inequalities in the country."
The use of "implies" denies the very real consequences of European colonialism . I think a better sentence beginning would be - "The term calls back to when European settlers stole land from ..." Ojasman (talk) 15:59, 20 May 2025 (UTC)
- That would be an assertion in Wikipedia's voice that could be WP:NPOV. While it may be an historical fact that Europeans have stolen land from peoples around the world, the slur implies that the target is somehow complicit in in land theft which may not be a fact in every use of the slur. Wikipedia is not a WP:SOAPBOX and so should not bring up such social issues gratuitously. Richard-of-Earth (talk) 06:07, 23 May 2025 (UTC)
