[edit]The Coup had to change the cover of one of their albums, because it depicted an exploding World Trade Center. See the link mentioned ([1]). This should probably be mentioned in List of entertainment affected by the September 11 attacks, it got quite a bit of media attention. Thanks. Joseph A. Spadaro (talk) 19:57, 24 February 2016 (UTC)
Dubious statement about the movie The Watcher (2000)
[edit]Though citation needed tags have had to be added to many of the claims in the article, most of them are probably true and based on things like DVD commentaries.
One that stood out to be though is:
2000's The Watcher had its opening scene digitally altered to show 'The Freedom Tower' where the Twin Towers were originally depicted.
But why would a film made and set 20 years ago re-edit its opening scene over 15 years later to insert a building from the future? Either the person who wrote this is thinking of another movie or explained this incorrectly. I will try to find out more. I could have just deleted it but added some tags for now just in case. I did check Google, IMDB, and the article page of the movie and can't find anymore about this. Unless someone has access to its commentary or special features or something? List of entertainment affected by the September 11 attacks → List of media affected by the September 11 attacks – Media seems a better name than Entertainment and seems to be WP:PRECISE. - Oppose media edges toward too vague and a significant amount of the article are examples that are not media: sporting events, broadway, theme parks, and so on. Skynxnex (talk) 21:19, 19 February 2024 (UTC)
- Oppose – "media" is not precise at all: we are also talking about concerts etc. See Skynxnex above. "Entertainment" is already precise. DBaK (talk) 23:45, 26 February 2024 (UTC)

List of entertainment affected by the September 11 attacks → Impact of the September 11 attacks on the entertainment industry – This is a weird (and potentially improper, inappropriate or non-standard) way to use the noun entertainment. This is like having an article be titled List of water affected by development firms instead of List of bodies of water affected by development firms. However, on account of the content in the body, it doesn't seem like any title beginning with "List of" would work well for this article unless it was significantly longer or more of a handful than the current title. (e.g. List of productions, venues, events, publications and brands affected by the September 11 attacks)
Just a moment ago, I boldly moved this article to a similar alternative title and was quickly reverted, hence this discussion. – MrPersonHumanGuy (talk) 17:50, 23 May 2025 (UTC) — Relisting. TarnishedPathtalk 12:15, 31 May 2025 (UTC)
- Oppose As mentioned by the reverter, this is a list article, and 'entertainment' describes media at large as a whole here that is affected by an event, which is not unusual at all to describe things within an article title. There is no cause to move this article, and the proposed target is badly formed (effectively confusing the reader into thinking a date is attacking the entertainment industry or 9/11 was an attack on media targets; yes, 9/11 is a widely known event, but some readers do come in not understanding what it is). Nathannah • 📮 22:41, 23 May 2025 (UTC)
- Support per nom. In addition, the current title is misleading because this article is much more than just a list, and there is no parent article from which this needs disambiguation. Station1 (talk) 05:34, 24 May 2025 (UTC)
- Relisting comment: Pinging @DisillusionedBitterAndKnackered, @Skynxnex and @Svartner as editors involved in the previous RM to get a fuller discussion. TarnishedPathtalk 12:15, 31 May 2025 (UTC)

- Support – Although this is primarily a list, it does not have to be titled "List of ___" per WP:LISTNAME. The proposed title is grammatically superior to the current title, which upon my first reading grated harshly against the ears. "List of entertainment" is not something you would naturally say. --GoneIn60 (talk) 15:48, 31 May 2025 (UTC)
- Oppose This is clearly a list, and moving lists to non-lists is disruptive. You should probably rewrite the article first in a draft if you mean to change its scope to this extent. ᴢxᴄᴠʙɴᴍ (ᴛ) 18:57, 6 June 2025 (UTC)
- The proposed move doesn't mean this becomes a "non-list". Lists do not have to be titled "List of ____" in order to remain a list article. See WP:LISTNAME. -- GoneIn60 (talk) 03:50, 9 June 2025 (UTC)
- Well, the proposed target does not do an adequate job of saying it is a list. It seems like the title of a prose article. ᴢxᴄᴠʙɴᴍ (ᴛ) 08:02, 9 June 2025 (UTC)
- Some lists do have titles similar to standard prose articles. Deportation of Armenian intellectuals on 24 April 1915, which is a featured list, is a good example. -- GoneIn60 (talk) 11:12, 20 June 2025 (UTC)

I don’t understand
[edit]The "with the world trade center added" subsection was removed from the films section in 2024, so why can’t it also be removed from the television section? Make it make sense, please! 156.47.73.102 (talk) 00:41, 19 June 2025 (UTC)
