Plawsworth

The page gives the closure date for Plawsworth station as 1952 - I was born in 1970 and can remember meeting my grandparents on the platform at Plawsworth, in fact I probably have a photograph of the occasion somewhere - so it was still there with trains in the 1970s...

The de facto standard reference book for stations —

— says it closed on 7 April 1952. Are you sure it was open for regular, timetabled passenger traffic, or was this some special occasion? Can you find a reliable reference to prove it was open in the 70s? --Dr Greg (talk) 19:20, 6 July 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Pencader Junction

I am investigating the existance of a station at Pencader Junction that closed around 1880. This is on the line from Carmarten-Aberystwth closed in 1965. The station was about one mile north of Pencader village and station (closed 1965) at the junction with the Newcastle Emlyn branch. Subject to further research I will be submitting an entry for the Closed Railway Stations List. Perhaps Butts book lists it? Any further information? Isle of Man railway stations

I have noted that this listing has included closed stations on the Isle of Man. Please note that the Isle of Man is NOT part of the Great Britain also NOT part of thre United Kingdom. Accordingly such stations should be removed. Does the editor agree? Those stations can be separately listed in a new category "Closed Stations on the Isle of Man".Steamybrian2 (talk) 21:47, 28 June 2025 (UTC)[reply]
