Please see MOS:FLAG which says Flag icons may be relevant in some subject areas, where the subject actually represents that country or nationality. (emphasis mine) I do not think this conforms to Manual of Style, which represents long standing consensus, and in addition the unusual use of flags – not to represent competitors, but unstated venues – is both confusing and misleading. ☆ Bri (talk) 14:40, 14 December 2024 (UTC)[reply]
