Hogwarts Legacy

[edit]

It's unclear whether Hogwarts Legacy for NS2 will be offered as a completely new port or as an NS2 Edition, since the title doesn't include "Nintendo Switch 2 Edition" like other Editions. The verbiage on Nintendo's website suggests the latter, but it may be best to leave it off the list until it's completely confirmed.

Press Release

"Hogwarts Legacy: Experience Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry like never before in Hogwarts Legacy, which has been updated with Joy-Con 2 mouse support, improved graphics and audio, seamless map load times, and controls for Nintendo Switch 2. Players can become the center of their own adventure with this open-world, action role-playing game as they discover magical beasts, customize their character, master spell casting, and become the witch or wizard they want to be. Rediscover the magic when Hogwarts Legacy arrives on the same day as Nintendo Switch 2."

Switch 2 Website

"This enhanced edition will include Joy-Con 2 mouse support and improved graphics, audio, load times, and controls." EnSingHemm (talk) 16:05, 2 April 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Is the "Switch 2 edition" similar to ps4 games ported to ps5, so I don't think this should be its own category. Maybe I'm missing a pattern or smth but I don't know. MKplayer10 (talk) 17:51, 2 April 2025 (UTC)[reply]
Nintendo is quite clear that there is a designation between Nintendo Switch games, Nintendo Switch 2 Edition games, and Nintendo Switch 2 games. EnSingHemm (talk) 19:34, 2 April 2025 (UTC)[reply]
My understanding was that Hogwarts was a full-on Switch 2 game, but I guess we'll have to dig out a source to fully confirm. Sergecross73 msg me 19:35, 2 April 2025 (UTC)[reply]
We have a source that lists Legacy with the standard Switch 2 games rather than grouping them with the other Switch 2 Editions. -- Cyberlink420 (talk) 20:19, 2 April 2025 (UTC)[reply]
Okay, guess we won't add it to this list :) EnSingHemm (talk) 20:35, 2 April 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Simplifying

[edit]

I feel like the current layout is already quite busy, and is going to get overwhelming as it grows. I feel like it could be simplified down to just a few columns - game name, a column for any/all graphical updates, and a column for detailing any new content added. Sergecross73 msg me 00:27, 8 April 2025 (UTC)[reply]

I both agree and believe that this is a good idea. Perhaps you could draft up a new table in your sandbox to get an idea of what that would look like? SleepDeprivedGinger (talk) 11:47, 8 April 2025 (UTC)[reply]
I just went ahead and boldly did it in the article space since its been a few days and there hasn't been any objections yet. If I get reverted, what I'm proposing is something like this. Sergecross73 msg me 18:38, 11 April 2025 (UTC)[reply]
Looks pretty good, definitely a lot more clear than the previous design! I've made an edit that improves it slightly, but I have no notable critiques with this new layout. SleepDeprivedGinger (talk) 20:10, 11 April 2025 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks! I just think this will be 1) easier for people to maintain and 2) will be more future-proof. If this list expands to hundreds of entries, the old design could get pretty busy and overwhelming. Sergecross73 msg me 20:38, 11 April 2025 (UTC)[reply]
