Is there any value to the column of region letters? There is no map or description of the regions to provide context to the letters. I was unable to find details about the region on the national website to support added details. As it stands, it seems like a non-encyclopedic almost trivial detail. It does indicate who represents them on the national board. We do have this information on some of the other fraternities. I understand why you deleted sections. Doesn't mean as much after the national reorganization. I'll see if I can find a map.Naraht (talk) 12:16, 28 April 2025 (UTC)[reply]
We do have this info on a few groups but also include a list of what each region includes. Either that or a map solves the issue. Also, I fixed the inconsistencies: some had a number instead of a letter, given that the text said letters were used. Rublamb (talk) 13:05, 28 April 2025 (UTC)[reply]
Naraht, I hope you are okay that I started working on this. I came to this article to fix the citations, but the two tables were driving me nuts. Since I knew it would be way easier to complete the merge in VE, it seemed like a project for me. Rublamb (talk) 13:18, 28 April 2025 (UTC)[reply]
My head is OK with this, my heart may take a while. Citations are still complaining. Everything should be A-R, numbers are likely from before the reorganization in 2018.Naraht (talk) 13:42, 28 April 2025 (UTC)[reply]
Yes, we have work to do on the citations. I will slowly go through and fix them (unless you would rather do this yourself). This is a high priority organization that deserves a accurate and updated list. Rublamb (talk) 13:48, 28 April 2025 (UTC)[reply]
I merged the geographic and date tables so that the format is consistent with the WP:FRAT table for chapters. I have also updated chapter status based on the Alpha Phi Omega website, added missing chapters, updated institution names, and corrected errors in the table. I am currently updating citations, especially those with a maintenance tag for incomplete data. A source is needed for the current expansion groups, including confirmation of active chapters. (The existing list was very dated, including chapters that had been rechartered for many years.) If someone has access to a print source and can double-check expansion groups, that would be great, OR you can always share a link below, and I will work on it. There are also some missing dates for recent chapter closures, indicated by xxxx ? or 20xx ?. Is there a way to access fraternity publications online? This info might be in recent newsletters or magazines. Rublamb (talk) 13:15, 28 April 2025 (UTC)[reply]
I've added chapter closure dates that were included in board meeting summaries in the magazine. That fixed most. Rublamb (talk) 02:09, 1 May 2025 (UTC)[reply]
RublambI've been holding off checking things until after your flurry of action on both of the Alpha Phi Omega related pages. Without the section numbers, it does make sense to recombine to make it look more like the others.Naraht (talk) 23:46, 1 May 2025 (UTC)[reply]
I think I am finished for now. I don't mind the section numbers and regions. I just had the impression that the sections numbers needed to be refreshed/updated. But it is your call. Rublamb (talk) 23:55, 1 May 2025 (UTC)[reply]
