Requested move 7 April 2025
[edit]- The following is a closed discussion of a requested move. Please do not modify it. Subsequent comments should be made in a new section on the talk page. Editors desiring to contest the closing decision should consider a move review after discussing it on the closer's talk page. No further edits should be made to this discussion.
The result of the move request was: no consensus. The Opposing side, and Supporting side are both providing hard arguments to support their side, therefore I am declaring this, No consensus for the following reasons;
1 Ice Hockey players can sometimes be more famous than some people, but you are talking about a Paralympian, vs a Hockey player that has done around 30+ games. 2. Not always are Page Views the main "benefactor", as it just could mean, what they found and clicked off, but left the tab open? Its not always Page Views. 3. The page is a disambiguation page, which lists both, which I think is fine.
Any other questions you can bring to talk my page, and within a couple days, if you wish this to be re-opened please reach out on my talk page.

Linus Karlsson (ice hockey) → Linus Karlsson – This person is more notable than Linus Karlsson (table tennis). Michaelwallace22 (talk) 03:27, 7 April 2025 (UTC) — Relisting. Jeffrey34555 (talk) 04:56, 14 April 2025 (UTC)
- Oppose Although ice hockey is a more popular sport than para table tennis, we're looking at a Paralympic medalist vs. somebody who has played 22 NHL games. No primary topic. 162 etc. (talk) 18:24, 7 April 2025 (UTC)
- Support as readers are seeking out the ice hockey person more than the table tennis person. cookie monster 755 14:45, 13 April 2025 (UTC)
- Weak support I see the argument for Paralympic medalist stuff, but pageviews indicate the hockey player is by far the primary topic. The Kip (contribs) 16:06, 18 April 2025 (UTC)
- Oppose. Classis case of the Problem With Page Views. If there is a primary topic... which I very much doubt... then it's the paralympian by long-term significance. Andrewa (talk) 15:35, 21 April 2025 (UTC)
