Release history table seems unnecessary
[edit]The release history table seems excessively long - it takes up nearly half the total vertical height of the article, and it seems to violate WP:NOTCHANGELOG. I'm not sure what the best practices are for removing sections like that which is why I haven't done it myself, but I wanted to draw attention to it at least. 64.67.144.111 (talk) 22:10, 13 October 2024 (UTC)

Lead paragraph
[edit]Modern reviews of office suites fail LibreOffice for only supporting Windows, macOS and Linux, sad but true; Nowadays mobile device and online is expected as well.
Solution: Update the lead paragraph to say mobile and online are supported via ecosystem partners that run LibreOffice Technology.
- When hovering a mouse pointer over the word LibreOffice in other Wikipedia articles, the first paragraph is displayed, something similar occurs with Google search results too. Take this opportunity to say something like LibO supports more devices than any other office suite. This is notable.
- Lead paragraph: LibreOffice (/ˈliːbrə/) is a free and open-source office suite with broad device and operating system support. It runs on desktops and its LibreOffice Technology software is used upstream by companies providing solutions for the web, tablets, smartphones and Chromebooks.
- More boring stuff: The rest of the current 1st paragraph should be moved into a new paragraph or another section, such as history. Because it is really boring to 99% of normal people isn't it!
- A similar lead paragraph change could be done for the 3 Wikipedia articles for Writer, Calc and Draw. Note that Draw functionality is now mostly integrated into Writer in the 3rd party mobile and online LibreOffice solutions.
