Legacy
[edit]It seems to be the Legal career of Keir Starmer#Legacy section is bloated with a blow-by-blow of various Conservatives and others accusing him of things he didn't do. It very much strays into WP:COATRACK territory and should probably be skimmed down massively per WP:NOTTHENEWS. I'd suggest something along the lines of:
Keir Starmer has received criticism, including far-right harassment and death threats, due to discredited accusations made about his involvement in failing to prosecute child sexual abuse in the United Kingdom as Director of Public Prosecutions.[1][2][3] In 2022, former prime minister Boris Johnson accused Starmer of failing to prosecute Jimmy Savile. Following criticism from members of his own party, Johnson later said Starmer was not personally responsible.[2][4] In 2025, after Conservative leader Kemi Badenoch called for a national inquiry into child sexual exploitation in Oldham,[5] X owner Elon Musk accused Starmer of being "complicit" in the crimes. Starmer has defended his record, saying more offenders were prosecuted under his term as Director of Public Prosecution than under anyone else.[6][7][8] The BBC found no evidence to support the accusations made by either Johnson or Musk.[3]
Or, even shorter:
Keir Starmer has received criticism, including far-right harassment and death threats, due to discredited accusations about his involvement in failing to prosecute child sexual abuse in the United Kingdom as Director of Public Prosecutions. The BBC found no evidence to support the accusations made by former Conservative prime minister Boris Johnson in 2022 nor by Elon Musk, the owner of X, in 2025.[9][10][a]
Or shortest:
