South West land division of Western Australia is far larger.

[edit]

I believe this page outlining the south west of Western Australia (WA) is incorrect. The south west of WA actually extends north of Perth as far as up to Geraldton to the south coast making it a very large regional area and a biodiversity hotspot. The true South West of WA is shown here in the links: 1) in an administrative sense but also for climate change modelling it is recognised as the area south extending up to Geraldton. 2) as per geology, geography, biology and natural history: https://www.researchgate.net/figure/The-Southwest-Australian-Floristic-Region-as-defined-here-relative-to-IBRA-regions-in_fig1_357764655 3) also as per the local Aboriginal peoples, the original owners of the land: https://www.noongar.org.au/ Safetyservices (talk) 05:04, 1 March 2025 (UTC)[reply]
