Date of "Away With Fairies"
[edit]The article gives the date of Fairies as 2005.
This is misleading. According to the copyright page of the volume, that was US publication. The book came out in Australia in 2001. Plot elements make it clear the book belongs before the 2002 entry on the list. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 76.94.82.148 (talk) 17:25, 3 March 2010 (UTC)

Greenwood's recent death
[edit]Greenwood died 26th March 2025, her funeral was on 6th April 2025 in Seddon [Footscray Australia] close to where she lived for 4 decades there currently appears to be no press other than a funeral notice. I was at the service and it is definitely the person under discussion. Random wikipedians have argued otherwise and reverted the factual report of her death
- I also saw on the order of service for the funeral the date 26 March. 60.242.32.150 (talk) 11:11, 6 April 2025 (UTC)
- Hardly random Wikipedians, it was me, not a random anonymous user. And I did not argue against her death, but against improperly updating an article of a living person, per WP:BLP. I saw a summary note that in the edit that stated User:Bebe Jumeau was a friend of Kerry for 40 years and attended her funeral. Anybody in the internet-sphere can claim acquaintance and modify articles. That is one form of vandalism. Here is a paragraph copied from Wikipedia's guideline for editing articles on biographies of living people:
- Wikipedia must get the article right. Be very firm about the use of high-quality sources. All quotations and any material challenged or likely to be challenged must be supported by an inline citation to a reliable, published source. Contentious material about living persons (or, in some cases, recently deceased) that is unsourced or poorly sourced—whether the material is negative, positive, neutral, or just questionable—must be removed immediately and without waiting for discussion.[1] Users who persistently or egregiously violate this policy may be blocked from editing.
- Therefore it is insufficient for an acquaintance to post to Wikipedia without a supporting source. I reverted information backed by a vague obituary notice that did not sufficiently define the subject of the funeral as the subject of this article. Then the user came back with sufficient sources, maybe sufficient to post here, although still not a news source or anything high-grade.
- My objection was to breaking the rules of Wikipedia in a rush to be the first to add new information to the article. Please be aware that Wikipedia is an encyclopedia, not a blog, and therefore needs higher level of sources before posting here. Mburrell (talk) 19:30, 6 April 2025 (UTC)
