Lead

The lead to this article was too long and contained repetitive information referenced later in the article but not independently significant enough for the lead, per WP:LEAD. I shortened but kept the reference to the Supreme Court case, as that seems significant. @Go4thProsper: Generally agree with that change. The lead doesn't need mention of being a member of a board of regents and losing re-election etc. --Engineerchange (talk) 16:19, 14 February 2025 (UTC)[reply]
