If you have specific information about Hanke's vague "federal service", then please do enlighten us. Until then let's just quote what his bio says, and let people from their own conclusions. Whiskey Pete03:31, 2 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]
So the "" around his job title are his? If so it would help to include this. perhaps in brackets (e.g. Quotation marks his). just a thought.--Matt D (talk) 05:42, 15 February 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Would it be helpful to add sections relevant to the companies he has started, including Keyhole and Niantic Labs (although Niantic is a division of Google)? Jodayagi (talk) 19:33, 10 May 2013 (UTC)[reply]
I am against merging the Niantic Labs page with the John Hanke page, mainly because there seems to be plenty of public information about Niantic Labs to justify keeping it as a standalone page. Jodayagi (talk) 22:45, 10 May 2013 (UTC)[reply]
This is the CEO of a notable company, and there's literally one minor third-party source that's anything like an RS. WP:BLP notes that every detail of a BLP should be defensible. I'll leave it a few days, but by a strict reading of WP:BLP this should be cut to a stub immediately. (Then probably merged to Niantic.) Do we have anything in high-quality sources that is actually about John Hanke? - David Gerard (talk) 13:09, 19 August 2016 (UTC)[reply]
Could swear I've seen a ton of backstory pieces on him recently; Forbes, etc. I'll check over the next few days when I get some time and see if I can locate RS. Kuru(talk)01:51, 25 August 2016 (UTC)[reply]
@David Gerard: - Okay, I've re-written the article from scratch using only significant WP:RS (and one press release for an old startup acquisition, sorry). I'm not the biggest content writer in the project, so please let me know if I've jacked something up or if more needs to be done to address the tags I removed.
