Why does this page exist? This guy doesn't seem to be notable. 121.98.87.151 (talk) 23:55, 6 February 2025 (UTC)

Add some clarity to the last paragraph in the career section, as the current wording is repetitive and confusing.

Concern About Repeated Removal of Sourced Content
[edit]Hi all,
I’ve noticed that reliably sourced content related to Rabhan’s THR opinion piece has been repeatedly removed from the article, despite meeting Wikipedia’s standards for verifiability and relevance. The information is backed by a published source and was written in a neutral tone. Whether or not it was significant to Rabhan’s career is subjective and shouldn't be used to justify its deletion.
I suspect there may be a conflict of interest involved, but regardless, I'd like to open this up for community input before escalating the matter. The relevant policies here are WP:VERIFY, WP:NPOV, and WP:COI.
Thanks. Pauline5765 (talk) 22:20, 17 April 2025 (UTC)
- I have just completed a proper edit, added citations and removed the paragraph in question as it has no place in this man's bio page, unless wiki now uses extreme bias or fandom to report. To requewst a "semi-protection" reeks of some personal vendetta or attempt to slight the person in question in a very overt and suspicious manner. Justification for Removal is obvious.
- Neutrality (WP:NPOV): The last paragraph focuses on a single controversial op-ed, presenting it in a way that emphasizes criticism without balancing Rabhan’s perspective or context. Phrases like “widely criticized” are vague and lack specific evidence of widespread backlash, violating Wikipedia’s neutral point of view policy.
- Undue Weight (WP:UNDUE): The controversy is given disproportionate attention compared to Rabhan’s 30-year career. A single op-ed does not merit an entire paragraph in a biography, especially when it overshadows other contributions.
- Reliable Sourcing (WP:RS): The claim of “considerable attention and controversy” relies on a BBC article[1] that primarily discusses Roan’s response, not Rabhan’s op-ed. The Hollywood Reporter source[2] is the op-ed itself, which cannot verify external reactions. No additional sources substantiate “widespread criticism.”
- Biographical Relevance (WP:BLP): Wikipedia’s policy on living persons requires careful handling of contentious material. The paragraph’s focus on criticism without robust sourcing risks harm to Rabhan’s reputation.
- Added Citations:
- Added Billboard source for LAAMP involvement.[3]
- Added Bored-of-Ed.com source for company launch.[4] 2600:4041:5D21:2B00:1199:ADB7:C002:D2B5 (talk) 20:17, 24 June 2025 (UTC)
