On September 9, 2020, a cause of death was reported and retracted by his alma mater, Central Catholic High School (Pittsburgh).[1] Major news outlet picked up the uncorrected story.
Here is a quote from the corrected announcement: ... in an effort to get the news out about his death in a timely manner, we mistakenly attributed his death without official confirmation on cause of death. ...
