They are merely a flavor of the month thing and they already got their own wiki article? This article should be deleted since they are not really that known in order to have a page. 13Sundin (talk) 22:48, 5 October 2022 (UTC)[reply]
Most people don’t know wiki policies. What OP is saying is clearly not a bias but objective, that the fact they have a wiki page is so patently absurd and unwarranted that it’s like arguing why the sky isn’t brown but is indeed blue. Some can articulate theory about light, color, but most understand intuitively because you can just look outside . This duo has no impact, no record label, no hits. They are simply not musicians of any not moreover are a youth demographic limited hashtag. 76.80.34.182 (talk) 17:36, 19 May 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Did island boys manager make this page? This does not warrant a wiki page
Imagine making a wiki page for a duo of vocal musicians 70 years ago, with no record deal, no hit songs, no notable tours, no impact on the art form. It would be ludicrous. But the recent nature of going viral, makes the phrase “15 minutes of fame” have more meaning than it did when Warhol said it decades ago. Their current and almost certainly brief ubiquity among some youth demographic platforms for entertainment and music, will soon vanish. Wikipedia is not a record of hashtag trends but is supposed to hold at least a semblance of academic integrity.
They are apparently going viral again for a (false) claim that they were pictured together with Jeffrey Epstein as children. See [1]. In fact, the image with Epstein was generated using AI and does not match how they would have looked as children anyways. Furthermore, I’m not aware of any record of Epstein abusing boys (he seems to have targeted only girls). Despite the falsity of the rumor, the fact that it’s circulated so widely means it’s probably as notable as anything else about these two. I myself had never heard of this Island Boys until someone I know on Facebook posted about the Epstein thing. 2604:2D80:6984:3800:0:0:0:801C (talk) 18:14, 1 June 2023 (UTC)[reply]
That's unnecessary as the sentence you cited is already referenced by the Yahoo source. Per WP:REPCITE, "If one source alone supports consecutive sentences in the same paragraph, one citation of it at the end of the final sentence is sufficient. It is not necessary to include a citation for each individual consecutive sentence, as this is overkill." Mbdfar (talk) 21:17, 21 July 2023 (UTC)[reply]
