First flight date

[edit]

I see in the article that the first flight took place on 8 August 1944, but it also mentions some sources saying 14 May 1944. The official website for the Museo Nacional de Aeronautica states that the first flight took place on the 8 August as well, so perhaps that is the correct date? Many articles on FMA aircraft use von Rauch's "Argentina's Wooden Warriors" Air Classics magazine from 1983 as a source, but its possible he mixed up the date of the FMA I.Ae 22 and 21. According to the MNA website and other sources I found when creating the article on the FMA 21, that aircraft's first flight was on the 14 May 1943.

If anyone still has input for this, let me know. I think in a week or so I'll fix the discrepancy to say only the 8 August 1944, as I've found more sources saying that as the date than the 14 May. Tylermack999 (talk) 00:04, 30 December 2024 (UTC)[reply]

I'd use the 8 August 1944 date, but with a footnote explaining that "some sources state..." (this style of footnote is used on the Pulqui II article, to give an example). - The Bushranger One ping only 00:43, 30 December 2024 (UTC)[reply]
I see, I can make the change soon. Tylermack999 (talk) 01:52, 30 December 2024 (UTC)[reply]
