It's just that no one has got round to changing it yet, and it's not obvious how to do so, since the information doesn't seem to be directly in the source. As well as the incorrect Labour figure, Independents should be 9 (not including the 5 members of the Independent Alliance who are listed separately) and Reform should be changed to 5 following the Runcorn and Helsby by-election. The number of Independent Alliance MPs has been changed from 5 to 6, following Zarah Sultana's announcement of forming a new party with Jeremy Corbyn. Although it's clear that Sultana has allied herself with Corbyn, it's not so clear whether she's now a member of the IA, which of course is only (at present) an informal parliamentary grouping and not a party. Some news sources have reported Sultana as having joined the IA but there's been no specific confirmation of this from Sultana herself (to my knowledge). It's also not possible to verify this through the HoC website, given that it only lists 15 independent MPs without distinguishing between IA members and other independents. I think she is co-founding a new party with Corbyn, but hasn't joined the Independent Alliance, which isn't a party anyway. Saitzken (talk) 19:55, 9 July 2025 (UTC)[reply]
