Poor prognosis

With such a poor prognosis, one would think that the statistics are somehow skewed - is it possible that most infections go on lightly, straight first to third phase, without the second, get written off as common cold, and only severe cases are thus detected? Contradictory article

This article appears to contradict the article on the hantavirus vaccine. This article states that no vaccines exist that protect against it, but the vaccine article appears to imply that such a vaccine does exist. It appears that neither this article nor the vaccine article have any sources that support either the existence of an HPS vaccine or lack thereof. Could someone with appropriate knowledge in this area find reliable sources that either confirm or disprove the existence of an HPS vaccine and update both articles accordingly?

The vaccines that are available provide some protection against HFRS, a different disease caused by hantaviruses. There aren't any vaccines to prevent HPS, but it is something that is being researched. Velayinosu (talk) 04:16, 16 April 2025 (UTC)[reply]
