Ground collision vs Runway incursion incident list

[edit]

Ground collision is according to the article defined as aircraft colliding with something on the taxiway. Yet the incident list which recently was moved from the article Runway incursion have mostly happened on the runway. And the color code description demands that incidents happened on the runway. So what is a ground collision and where should the list be?--BIL (talk) 21:06, 4 January 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Yes, this article is all over the place: GCOL is a very specific category of incidents defined by ICAO that excludes collisions occurred on the runway ("Ground collisions resulting from events categorized under Runway Incursion (RI) or Ground Handling (RAMP) are excluded from this category" [1]). This article should be reduced in scope strictly to GCOL events or nominated for deletion, if such topic is not worthy of its own article. -- Deeday-UK (talk) 14:04, 1 July 2025 (UTC)[reply]
