LGBT
[edit]I wonder if it makes sense to use the term LGBT in XIXth C. context. While campaigners for the rights of homosexuals definitely existed, I doubt the concept of LGBT existed. 176.156.51.233 (talk) 09:59, 9 January 2023 (UTC)
- Obviously, the term LGBT didn't exist when the subject was alive, but "gay", "homosexual", and "queer" were attested in that time. See George Chauncey's Gay New York. Bearian (talk) 22:18, 15 June 2025 (UTC)
