First to use a gas balloon in Antarctica

February 4, 1902, Scott on the Discovery Expedition launched the first hot air balloon on Antarctica (source: Scott, Voyage of the Discovery Vol 1). Drygalski's hot air balloon launch was March 29, 1902, right? So "Drygalski was the first to use a gas balloon in Antarctica" is incorrect. Juushika (talk) 05:57, 18 June 2025 (UTC)[reply]
