The exceptions to the extended confirmed restriction are:

With respect to the WP:1RR restriction:

Clear vandalism of whatever origin may be reverted without restriction. Also, reverts made solely to enforce the extended confirmed restriction are not considered edit warring.
Editors who violate this restriction may be blocked by any uninvolved administrator, even on a first offence.

After being warned, contentious topics procedure can be used against any editor who repeatedly or seriously fails to adhere to the purpose of Wikipedia, any expected standards of behaviour, or any normal editorial process. Contentious topic sanctions can include blocks, topic-bans, or other restrictions.
Editors may report violations of these restrictions to the Arbitration enforcement noticeboard.

Contested deletion

I request that this page not be speedily deleted because: The laws of Wikipedia prohibit the creation of pages by banned, blocked or otherwise sanctioned users. I am neither blocked or banned, and although I am not yet an extended confirmed editor in English, I am extended confirmed in Persian, and considering the reason for the extended confirmed restriction is to prevent the creation of articles by inexperienced users who lack the necessary sensitivity for contentious issues, it doesn't seem to apply here. In this case I would request that the administrators would kindly consider the following law (WP:G5): "but administrators may exercise discretion when deciding how to enforce this remedy on article creations." I would also like to add that the article does not touch upon the core issues of the conflict, its relation to the conflict is relatively remote, and it also does not support any one side. Needless to say I will take special care not to write on contentious issues until I am extended confirmed in English as well, but in this specific case I request your kind consideration. --Razgura (talk) 07:36, 30 January 2025 (UTC)[reply]

@Razgura: Pursuant to the discretionary clause you mentioned, I have declined to delete this, but have moved it to draftspace instead. However, to be very clear, you are still subject to WP:ECR. Being extendedconfirmed on another wiki has no bearing. If you reach extendedconfirmed status, you are welcome to return here and edit this draft and/or move it back to mainspace.
