Statement with false source

[edit]

Britannica does not state that the epistle was written circa 70 CE, but "almost certainly written by St. Clement I of Rome circa 96 CE ". sources.https://www.britannica.com/topic/First-Letter-of-Clement I think the other claims about dates are also based on false as I found the date 96 CE almost everywhere. Maybe this source is not correct but I can add a new reference as a replacement. Jonathan Bernier in his Rethinking the Dates of the New Testament, Part 5 chapter 9 concludes that 1 Clement "was written no earlier than 64 and no later than 70". He explains that it can't be earlier than 64 because it describes the deaths of both Paul and Peter, and no later than 70 because it uses the Temple of Jerusalem as an example, as if it were a current thing.
