Removal of Undisclosed Paid Tag

[edit]

Dear all. As the author of this article, I can confirm that I was not paid to create this article. I have created a few more articles about academics of the same university: Jim Lynch (academic) and Bonnie Buchanan, always on a voluntary basis.

Having said that, I can see that this article had some promotional content towards a non-notable company, so I have removed the promotional content. I kindly ask for any unconnected editor to confirm that my clean up is enough to remove the tag.

I also note that the talk page of the article did not specify which edits were paid and this is a requirement to put the tag, so it makes harder to clean up the page, but I believe I have identified the problematic edit. Contributor892z (talk) 18:32, 10 January 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Hi! No, I do not need to specify which edits were paid. But to be clear, at least one paid editor was involved with this article, and you appear to have a COI given your editing history. Any editor who is independent of the subject is welcome to remove the tag if they feel that it is unbiased. I should add that if there is a problem, your one edit [1] did not address any bias, so I do not feel that it would have fixed things if a problem exists. - Bilby (talk) 07:34, 11 January 2025 (UTC)[reply]
I see you keep insisting on adding a UPE tag for a work that was not UPE. I have requested on the WP:Reward board for independent assistance to close this matter once and for all. Contributor892z (talk) 17:02, 31 January 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Hey, Saw this on the reward board. Willing to carry out, you don't need to give me anything.

Not saying a barnstar wouldn't be nice...(joking, you don't have to give me anything 🙂) (3OpenEyes' communication receptacle) | (PS: Have a good day) (acer was here) 01:59, 2 February 2025 (UTC)[reply]
