Why?

What is the point of this article when it almost entirely repeats what is in the article-- Electromagnetic Aircraft Launch System? There is brief mention of civilian use, but it immediately wraps back to military aircraft carriers. Shouldn't this article be more limited to the principles, history, development, and examples of use. Can't these catapults be used for firing projectiles as with weapons, toy or commercial rocket launchers, etc.? If there are no such other uses then there is no need for this article..
