Controversies section
[edit]I've removed the Controversies section because it doesn't appear to be directly relevant to the subject. The material focuses on the personal political comments of Frank Graves (pollster), the president of Ekos Research Associates, not the actions of the company itself. As it was written, the article looked more like a coatrack for content about Graves.
Although Graves is the company's public face, none of the cited sources suggest that the 2010 controversy had any impact on the company (lost clients, damaged reputation, etc.). Without that connection, duplicating the material verbatim here gives undue weight to a tangential issue that is already covered in the Frank Graves (pollster) article, where it belongs. Likewise, Tesla, Inc. does not catalogue every controversial remark ever made by Elon Musk, even though he’s the company's CEO and public figurehead.
Based on the edit summaries, the primary argument for inclusion seems to be that Graves’ remarks reflect on the company's credibility. However, without reliable sources explicitly making that connection, this interpretation falls under original research. I'm open to other views here but in the absence of any clear connection to the company itself aside from “Graves said something inflammatory therefore his data is suspect,” I believe the section should remain out. - Agree; unless reliable sources connect his statements to some sort of impact on the company, it belongs in the Graves article but not here. Schazjmd (talk) 23:33, 17 April 2025 (UTC)
- You would need to be blind to see that its not affecting the company.

- That's an open source project run by one person who has an acknowledged animus against Ekos.
"I'm a senior software developer who was fed up after seeing EKOS committing treason against Canadians while the Canadian Research and Insight Council (CRIC) stood by and did nothing to stop it."
Schazjmd (talk) 22:21, 21 April 2025 (UTC)- I wrote that, this is my site. Im unbiased in this, im also going after Mainstreet for the same thing.
- Im telling you to look at the data.
- Its statistically impossible to be the highest data point 9 times in a row when there are 8 different pollsters doing more polls than you. IonicFusion (talk) 11:00, 22 April 2025 (UTC)
- Wikipedia editors don't "look at the data" and draw conclusions; that's original research. When there are no independent reliable sources supporting the information, we don't add it to the article. Your grudge site is neither independent nor reliable. Schazjmd (talk) 14:56, 22 April 2025 (UTC)

[edit]Try not to read too much into the tags indicating I did all my research on 2025-04-20 ;-)

COI Resolved
[edit]I am satisfied that the previous contributor with COI is no longer involved in editing this page.
I did the recent full update and have no connection to the subject or the previous contributor.
So if there isn't a specific reason to keep it I propose to remove the COI tag.
I was also careful to cite sources and not make it an ad, so unless there something specific that anyone has evidence to suggest is promotional content, I also proposed to remove the advert tag.
