This article has been checked against the following criteria for B-class status:
First and foremost I have a major concern. Almost all of this article is cited to legal proceedings/trial judgements, which per WP:BLPPRIMARY we are not supposed to use on BLPs ever. Quote: "Do not use trial transcripts and other court records, or other public documents, to support assertions about a living person." It's less a BLPcrime issue as he was soundly convicted but we simply cannot use legal notices on BLPs. Do you have any reason for going against this? Because as it is probably all of this article should be deleted (unless there is some difference when it comes to extremely high level crimes like war crimes, which I am not opposed to, but AFAIK there is no carveout for this). G’day PARAKANYAA. Sorry, tyro mistake, first time I’ve ever written articles on recent war criminals. I do think the total ban on using documents from legal proceedings is counter-intuitive, especially when the matters have been completely dealt with, appeals and all, and in several cases, the person has been released from custody. I’m not seeing what the unfairness to the living person is that the policy wonks are trying to avoid by banning it. IMHO the ban should be limited to using findings of fact in legal proceedings that are incomplete, as that is unfair, and could be overturned on appeal. I’ll pursue that at the village pump later. However, in this and the other war criminal bio articles, everything in the article can be sourced to reliable secondary sources on the work of the ICTY, the wars, law journals/reports, etc. I’ve started on that, it’ll take a few days to complete. I’ll ping you when it’s done. Thanks for picking this up. Cheers, Peacemaker67 (click to talk to me) 23:50, 11 April 2025 (UTC)[reply]
