Crown Jewels?

[edit]

The article says that this diadem is part of HM the Queen's personal collection - that is, it is her property. If this is so, then it cannot at the same time be among the Crown Jewels of the United Kingdom, which are not the property of Elizabeth II. They are the property of the state. So either the article or the categories at the bottom of the page are in error. 74.83.14.59 (talk) 05:37, 2 June 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Queen Elizabeth The Queen Mother

[edit]

Is there any documented evidence that Queen Elizabeth The Queen Mother has worn this diadem? There are seemingly no photographs of her wearing it nor any mention anywhere of her wearing the diadem. If this be the case, we may need to clarify in the article where it suggests that every queen from Queen Adelaide to Queen Camilla has worn it. AKTC3 (talk) 15:16, 17 July 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Lead images

[edit]

Someone has gone to the effort of creating a collage of stamps and coins that feature the Diamond Diadem. Unfortunately it is now impossible to see the diadem without clicking the images and zooming in. Also, Queen Victoria is not wearing this diadem on the 1867 Hong Kong dollar coin pictured; she wears a different (most likely fictional) one with alternating crosses pattée and roses. Yes, these are a nuisance - I've swopped the big pics & will try to lose the HK coin. Johnbod (talk) 14:08, 4 January 2025 (UTC)[reply]
