Just some copy cleanup and an ask to take a look at this languishing GA with fresh eyes. Ping when addressed. Sammi Brie (she/her • t • c) 03:26, 4 January 2025 (UTC)
- @Sammi Brie: I've done all the copy cleanup, let me know if I've made some mistakes. reppoptalk 06:39, 4 January 2025 (UTC)
Did you know? If you fancy doing so, I always have plenty of GA nominees to review. Just look for the all-uppercase titles in the Television section. Reviews always appreciated.
Copy changes
[edit]- MOS:GEOLINK: Probably no need to say "Paris, France" because Paris is a world city, and probably no need to link England after Brighton.
- Removed both.
- The lead single, "Un Bombardier Avec Ses Bombes," Should this not be sentence case as a title in French, where work titles are sentence-cased?
- I'm not sure, though it would seem so, I've changed it.
- Also watch your logical quote setting.
- I've made changes to try to adhere to it.
- They helped create the group Ottawan Who's "they"? The paragraph has only singular subjects up to this point.
- Added that it was him and Jean Kluger that helped create the group.
- Vangarde recounted that a program director had dismissed the music, describing it as "ballroom music." maybe "dismissed the track" to avoid redundancy to "music" in the quote. Also might be worth noting that a program director usually is of a radio station ("a radio station program director").
- Added both.
- The album was released on 25 November 2022, by on Remove the comma and "by"
- Removed.
- They had one son, Thomas Bangalter in 1975, and Thoreux passed away in 2001. Move the comma to after Bangalter and be careful with your MOS:EUPHEMISMs. They had one son, Thomas Bangalter, in 1975; Thoreux died in 2001.
- Replaced with suggested prose.
Sourcing and spot checks

I couldn't view all of 3 because it is paywalled, but the other sources I was able to spot check and came out fine.
Images
[edit]All but one image is libre licensed, and that image (of Ottawan) has a VRT ticket supporting approval. There is no alt text, but it would be rudimentary in this context (e.g. Image of <band> or Image of Caraiba).
