[edit]Hello fellow Wikipedians,
I have just modified one external link on Confederation Trail. Please take a moment to review my edit. If you have any questions, or need the bot to ignore the links, or the page altogether, please visit this simple FaQ for additional information. I made the following changes:
- Added archive https://web.archive.org/web/20080505161731/http://www.islandtrails.ca/trails/details/?trail_id=21 to http://www.islandtrails.ca/trails/details/?trail_id=21
When you have finished reviewing my changes, you may follow the instructions on the template below to fix any issues with the URLs.

Length
[edit]The article says the trail is 470 km long, but other sources say that it is 449 km long,[1] and another has 435 km long.[2] I know these might not be reliable sources, but the length in the article has no source at all. - Hey @Balsam Cottonwood, thanks for bringing this up. tourismpei seems like it should be a reliable source, so why not go with that one? Revirvlkodlaku (talk) 01:38, 30 March 2025 (UTC)
- Okay. Balsam Cottonwood (talk) 02:05, 30 March 2025 (UTC)
- Actually, I just noticed that tourismpei has 273 km. Biketripper.net, which probably isn't so reliable, has 449. I'll just change 270 to 273 and add a source. Balsam Cottonwood (talk) 02:13, 30 March 2025 (UTC)
- Okay. Balsam Cottonwood (talk) 02:05, 30 March 2025 (UTC)
Use Canadian English?
[edit]Should we put a "Use Canadian English" template there, since it's a Canadian location? Balsam Cottonwood (talk) 02:17, 30 March 2025 (UTC)
- @Balsam Cottonwood, I tend not to worry much about Engvar, but it's not a bad idea. Revirvlkodlaku (talk) 18:27, 30 March 2025 (UTC)

[edit]I found a reference for this — but when I hit "Publish," a notice came up saying that an automated filter had detected that the source might be unreliable, which it might be. The reference is https://peihistory.blogspot.com/2019/. Could someone please find out if it is reliable enough to use or not? Balsam Cottonwood (talk) 03:15, 30 March 2025 (UTC)
- @Balsam Cottonwood, it's likely the fact that blogspot is a blog site—blogs are not generally considered to be reliable. Revirvlkodlaku (talk) 18:28, 30 March 2025 (UTC)
- It seems reliable enough to me, at least for the date; the author of the blog article seems connected to the subject. The only other source seems to be https://islandtrails.ca/en/about-us.php (source #8 in the Wikipedia article on Donald Deacon), but that link is dead, at least it was when I tried it. Could we make an exception for this source? 🌳 Balsam Cottonwood (talk) ♰ 02:53, 22 April 2025 (UTC)
- @Balsam Cottonwood, if you feel confident that the blog is reliable, then go for it. I've done that myself once or twice ;) Revirvlkodlaku (talk) 03:01, 22 April 2025 (UTC)
- Okay. Someone can remove it if they want or replace it with a better source if there is one availble. 🌳 Balsam Cottonwood (talk) ♰ 03:08, 22 April 2025 (UTC)

Update
[edit]I updated the Completed section; please review my edit to make sure I didn't do anything wrong. Does this mean we can remove that "needs updating" template? Balsam Cottonwood (talk) 03:45, 30 March 2025 (UTC)
- @Balsam Cottonwood, yes, thanks for all the updates, and I've removed the template. Revirvlkodlaku (talk) 18:29, 30 March 2025 (UTC)
Source
[edit]Here's a source, if anyone would like to use it; I might, next time I edit the article.
