CompactRIO is the preeminent embedded modular development platform in sensor and automation applications, which makes it highly notable

This article looks like an ad from National Instruments! I'm definitely not sure it is often used in harsh conditions and so, I would say it is much more likely to be used in universities, or in research laboratories by non-professional programmers.--Miguel34 (talk) 13:08, 17 April 2013 (UTC)[reply]
