Book title
[edit]I edited "History of Ukraine" to the book's actual title, "The Story of the Ukraine". I have the printed book in front of me, with the correct title; also, a websearch of serious resources, like citations in JSTOR, etc., does show that the title was "The Story of the Ukraine" — nor is there any separate book "History of Ukraine" (which could have been a possibility).
Given that the author was fully aware that it was important to refer to Ukraine (as opposed to "the" Ukraine), the title is unfortunate; I imagine, as stated on the orientation page the the online version, that it was a (bad) publisher's decision. Manning's text, except for a couple of slip-ups, always reads just plain 'Ukraine" without the article.
