Needs a much clearer definition of what the question is. Actually, ANY definition of it
[edit]The article begins as follows:
"Chern's conjecture for affinely flat manifolds was proposed by Shiing-Shen Chern in 1955 in the field of affine geometry. As of 2018, it remains an unsolved mathematical problem.
"Chern's conjecture states that the Euler characteristic of a compact affine manifold vanishes."
At no point in this article is there any definition of an "affinely flat manifold", nor is there any link to such a definition.
Perhaps all "affine manifolds" are "affinely flat?
If so, this needs to be stated in the article.
Defining the subject of the article is a sine qua non for an encyclopedia article: Without any definition of its subject, no one knows what the article is about. (Except for experts who already know all about this conjecture.)
I hope someone knowledgeable about this topic can fill in this crucial missing information.
