Is Pascal main in 2x05?

[edit]

I believe that marking Pascal as a main character in episode 2x05, despite him not being credited, is both encyclopedically inaccurate and potentially misleading. Therefore, I suggest replacing the following line of code:

{{cMain|{{efn|name="Appear"|Appears but not credited}}}}<!--Pascal's appearance is as a lead actor (uncredited), not a guest-->

with:

{{cNone|{{efn|name="Appear"|Appears but not credited}}}}<!--Pascal is not credited whatsoever; do not change-->

This change reflects the factual crediting status more accurately. According to standard encyclopedic practice, the "main" designation should be reserved for actors officially credited as such. Even if Pascal appears in a prominent role, the absence of formal credit means we should not imply main cast status. Maintaining consistency with this principle ensures the reliability and neutrality of the information. Also, I want to acknowledge the overall excellent work being done on the page — it's clear that a lot of effort and attention to detail has gone into it. Great job! I assume he wasn't credited because he's not actually a guest star but they didn't want to spoil his appearance in the opening titles—but you're right that it appears he's technically neither in that episode since he's not credited. I've made the change. Rhain (he/him) 04:22, 13 May 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Hanrahan & Burton

[edit]

Raising here as there's some back & forth about Hanrahan in the edit history. As both Alanna Ubach (Hanrahan) and Ben Ahlers (Burton) are listed as Guest Starring in the credits of S2E04 (alongside Wright & Peck), it's probably appropriate for both to be included?

Arguably both are more significant also than Peck's character, who is only notable because of the actor behind it? Nil NZ (talk) 00:11, 20 May 2025 (UTC)[reply]

The characters here are only included because of their real-world significance; there are several guest stars who are excluded, especially from the first season. The general rule of thumb is to include them if there is notable commentary on their creation and/or reception, which is why Peck is included while Ubach and Ahlers are not (yet). That's also the same reason Kat was removed. Rhain (he/him) 00:18, 20 May 2025 (UTC)[reply]
Thank you for clarifying, I wasn't quite sure what the exact rationale was but assumed it would be along those lines.
I'd admittedly tried searching for commentary about both characters, but there's nothing really aside from casting notices and brief mentions in the podcast - it unfortunately seems the outlets would much rather talk about the Peck cameo instead. Nil NZ (talk) 00:31, 20 May 2025 (UTC)[reply]
It's one thing for outlets not to really mention them, but it's especially curious that neither Ubach nor Ahlers have really had any interviews yet. I expect we'll see more in the future, and hopefully they can be included then. Rhain (he/him) 00:34, 20 May 2025 (UTC)[reply]
A couple of interviews with Noah Lamanna (Kat) have popped up over the last week, most notably a 20 min interview with the CBC, and a brief interview discussing the Ellie/Kat/Dina dynamics here.
I haven't had a chance to listen to the full 20 minute interview yet, but the first few minutes sound promising. Nil NZ (talk) 23:49, 27 May 2025 (UTC)[reply]
Couple of other additional interviews:

Good finds—it's nice to see some substance in these interviews, rather than simple questions about the show's basic premise (which is what prompted the removal in the first place). I've restored and expanded the section. Rhain (he/him) 00:52, 28 May 2025 (UTC)[reply]
