Essentially two names for the same place pbp 18:05, 27 March 2025 (UTC)[reply]

According to the USGS, the older, more rural Tassajara CDP[1] is centered on the banks of the Tassajara Creek (near 1100 Finley Rd), whereas Camino Tassajara CDP[2] is a newer, denser development centered in the hills about 1.25 miles southwest of there (near 6142 Massara St). So, the CDPs are different, not just in location and geography, but also in demographics.
Oddly, in Google Maps[3] and Microsoft Bing Maps[4], the locations "Tassajara, CA" and "Camino Tassajara, CA" appear to refer to the same geographic area, which encompasses only the Camino Tassajara CDP (bounded by Camino Tassajara Rd in the north, the Tassajara Ridge in the south, and the foothills that separate the two CDPs). However, OpenStreetMap[5][6] and Apple (Beta) Maps[7][8] show these same locations as distinct CDPs separated by foothills, which is consistent with USGS Maps.
Given the above, I would argue against merging the wikis. Wahn (talk) 19:13, 28 March 2025 (UTC)[reply]
