Was he a comedian?

I saw he was listed as a comedian on here and on the Deaths in 2025 page and was wondering what he did in his career that made him a comedian, rather than just an actor in a comedy series.

Surely not everyone who appears in a sit-com is a comedian. For example, nobody has ever called As Time Goes By's Judi Dench a comedian.

Not even the legendary Leonard Rossiter, who played the iconic sit-com characters Rigsby and Reggie Perrin, is described as a comedian on here.

I agree he was not a comedian. So I have adjusted the description to just "comic actor." Martinevans123 (talk) 22:18, 4 February 2025 (UTC)[reply]
