Black Sabbath awarded "Freedom Of The City" award, Birmingham, England
[edit]All members of the original BLACK SABBATH were given the "Freeman Of The City Of Birmingham" honorary title on January 28th, 2025. The honor has been previously bestowed upon only 50 individuals since its inception in 1888; and only once previously in the 21st century.

"final concert for eight years"
[edit]This edit changed:
- "
To conclude their farewell tour, Black Sabbath played its The End: Live in Birmingham concert in their home city on 4 February 2017.
"
to
- "
To conclude their farewell tour, Black Sabbath played its final concert for eight years in their home city on 4 February 2017.
"
I don't see that the first sentence "made no sense". What does "... its final concert for eight years... " mean? We now know it wasn't their final concert or, at least, it won't be if the planned show, on 5 July 2025, takes place. And shouldn't "it's" be changed to "theirs"? Thanks. - When you changed from "final concert" to "The End: Live in Birmingham", that was the part that made no sense. It's gonna be a bit tricky as to which "their" part should be changed to "its" in order to not make it redundant. Granted, the only change in that sentence I'm thinking of right now is "To conclude its farewell tour, Black Sabbath played their final show in eight years in Birmingham." - Well that was the name of the concert - it has its own article - so I thought it was pretty clear. I think to use the phrase "final concert" there is confusing and best avoided. Perhaps another editor can offer a suggestion. Martinevans123 (talk) 18:09, 7 February 2025 (UTC)
- Why not just re-word it to "last concert"? HorrorLover555 (talk) 18:10, 7 February 2025 (UTC)
- Marginally better. But the latest announcement, about the Back to the Beginning concert on 5 July 2025, has rather turned things on their head. Martinevans123 (talk) 18:13, 7 February 2025 (UTC)
