The article while detailed is erroneous, this chap's parents were not Rupert and Honor. His parents were Malcolm George Walters Smith and Elsie Frances Smith (formerly Robinson). His Father was, I think, a Gunner in the Royal Garrison Artillery (No. 157222). I have no other information on his mother. I have a copy of his birth certificate from Bournemouth.
