Hey, I will be reviewing this :) This article looks very interesting and I love the show so I am hoping that it will achieve GA status! Well done for your work on it so far.
Before I do a full review, I checked on earwig [1] and it appears that there is a 46.8% similarity with this source [web.archive.org/web/20110221140031/http://www.tvsquad.com/2011/01/04/carter-bays-on-the-how-i-met-your-mother-countdown-episode], probably due to the quotes or close paraphrasing. Can you please get it to under 40% similarity by paraphrasing some of the quotes into your own words? Once this has been done I will do a full review. Please let me know if you need any help or anything! :) DaniloDaysOfOurLives (talk) 02:38, 12 April 2025 (UTC)
- Thanks for starting the review :)
- I have gotten it down to 37%, so it should be good now Crystal Drawers (talk) 03:18, 12 April 2025 (UTC)
- @DaniloDaysOfOurLives and Crystal Drawers: sorry to intrude but I've had this GAN on my watchlist for a while and was just wondering if your still going through with the review? Olliefant (she/her) 17:29, 21 May 2025 (UTC)
- Apologies, I had not received the ping and was waiting for the issue to be fixed. I will review it properly in the next few days now that I have seen that the copyright issue has been fixed. DaniloDaysOfOurLives (talk) 17:40, 21 May 2025 (UTC)

Review:
Hey @Crystal Drawers:, I have reviewed the article. This was really interesting to read, well done! And thank you for sorting out the copyright issue. Here are my comments:
Lead - Can you please link the characters and add their actors in brackets? Done
Plot - Can you please add the actors in brackets? Done
Production:
1.) "In an interview, Bays says that "these kind of moments happen when you don't expect them"." - Can you clarify what kind of moments happen when you don't expect them? Also, the sentence needs a ref. Done
2.) "The writers wanted to "shock the audience" and have them relate to the characters. Bays said that "much of what we love about the show is the relatability of it". " - Both sentences need refs at the end Done
3.) "Of the episode's emotion" - Can you please clarify what this means in terms of "emotion"? Done (let me know if this works better, I’m not too sure)
4.) "Jason Segel and Alyson Hannigan themselves were kept in the dark about the final scene" - Can you please explain who Segel and Hannigan are and use a different expression to "kept in dark" per MOS:EUPHEMISM? Done
5.) "He and Hannigan worked out a plan wherein Segel would only know that his cue to react would be on Hannigan finishing her line with the word "it"" - Who is "he"? Also, I found this sentence quite difficult to understand, could you please clarify it? Done (clarified who “he” is, and reworded the sentence to remove unnecessary detail; let me know if it’s still an issue)
Critical response:
1.) Can you please link "TV Guide"? Done
2.) Can you please link "Emmy" in "Emmy-worthy"? Done
3.) Can you please say who Jennifer Turchi, Megan Moore and Bradley M are? Done
4.) I removed the subheadings as they were quite small
Other:
1.) Can you please add "alt=" and a description to the images? Done (I added alts, but I would appreciate it if you could check them over and make sure I did them correctly?)
2.) In the previous GA of yours that I reviewed, there was some info that was not in the sources. Before I do a source spotcheck, can you please ensure that all of the information is in the sources to not violate WP:OR? Done (went through production and reception and it seems every detail is included in the sources)
3.) The production section could do with a picture or two, maybe of the crew or actors? Done (added a picture of Jason Segal)
When these have been done I will do a spotcheck and hopefully pass the episode :) Please let me know if you have any questions or need assistance! :) DaniloDaysOfOurLives (talk) 05:08, 23 May 2025 (UTC)
- Thank you for the comments, I will get to this later today :) Crystal Drawers (talk) 14:21, 23 May 2025 (UTC)
