Athens–Clarke County metropolitan area → Athens, Georgia metropolitan area – Athens-Clarke County is commonly known as Athens. 2600:1700:6180:6290:512D:BBA1:7953:1E53 (talk) 02:38, 5 January 2025 (UTC)
- Weak oppose, the census source used in this article does use "Athens-Clarke County, GA". This article is currently defined to be specifically on the Census designation, not generically a metropolitan area around Athens, Georgia. Although if this is on the Census designation it probably is a proper name therefore capitalized? Also the proposed name is a bit split up, Athens metropolitan area (Georgia) would be smoother? - Weak oppose as per DankJae, and because no reliable sources were provided by the nom. TiggerJay (talk) 03:08, 13 January 2025 (UTC)
