Date of death discrepancy
[edit]The date of death was originally stated to be 16 September 2018, based on the cited Stuff article. An ip has twice changed it to the 17th. There certainly does appear to be a discrepancy. The death notice published in the NZ Herald says the 17th, but the Herald's obituary says Corban died "at the weekend", which implies the 15th or 16th because the 17th was a Monday. Stuff's report very strongly implies that the death was on the 16th. For now, I think we should stay with the 16th. Akld guy (talk) 20:21, 17 September 2018 (UTC)

Assid Corban → Assid Khaleel Corban – Assid Khaleel Corban may be confused by his ancestor Assid Abraham Corban. In keeping with the title of that article, I propose that Assid Khaleel Corban's middle name should be added to the title. LynKing1123 (talk) 23:02, 22 January 2025 (UTC)
- Oppose. He is better known than his ancestor, so is the primary topic for the name. Also, he is not well known by his full name. Nurg (talk) 21:06, 23 January 2025 (UTC)
- Oppose. The common name for both is Assid Corban. Looking at the page view count, neither is overwhelmingly the primary topic, so I'd suggest that Assid Corban be moved to Assid Corban (politician) or Assid Corban (mayor), and that Assid Abraham Corban be moved to Assid Corban (viticulturist) or Assid Corban (winemaker), with a hatnote at the latter linking to his descendant, since he was also a director of Corbans Wines but best known as a politician / mayor.
