Proposed deletion

@Skeptical1800: While it is obvious that this page was created as a redundant fork of Armeno-Phrygians, these two topics are related, but not identical. The concept of Armeno-Phrygians has been proposed independently from Diakonoff's linguistic Armeno-Phrygian hypothesis. So if dealt with properly, we could actually maintain two different articles about two distinct topics. It's another question whether either of these deserve a standalone article or not. In my personal opinion, no. Diakonoff's Armeno-Phrygian hypothesis is one of several proposals for the closer affiliation of Armenian, and clearly not the best one. Likewise, the ethnic Armeno-Phrygians hypothesis is one out of many, and again not the most plausible. Ideally, they should appear at the section level in Proto-Armenian language and Origin of the Armenians, respectively. I think the pages can be merged. Maybe just within the Armeno-Phrygian page, since "Armeno-Phrygian" is also (or mostly?) a hypothetical linguistic clade anyhow.Skeptical1800 (talk) 19:00, 18 April 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Merger with Armeno-Phrygians

I propose to merge Armeno-Phrygian languages into Armeno-Phrygians. I think that the content in the Armeno-Phrygian languages article can easily be explained in the context of Armeno-Phrygians, and actually is already discussed in that page.Skeptical1800 (talk) 19:02, 18 April 2021 (UTC)[reply]
