Updated revenue numbers
[edit]![]() | An impartial editor has reviewed the proposed edit(s) and asked the editor with a conflict of interest to go ahead and make the suggested changes. |
Hi editors, for my next request, I propose updating the introduction with more current revenue and disbursement numbers:
− | + | In 2024, ASCAP collected approximately US$1.84 billion in revenue, distributed approximately US$1.7 billion in royalties to rightsholders, and maintained a registry of approximately 20 million works. ASCAP had approximately 900,000 members as of 2022. |

This provides the most recent revenue numbers and clarifies the timeline of membership a bit while making it less promotional. Please let me know what you think! @Closetside: would you have any interest in looking at this request as well? Stephanie BINK (talk) 17:47, 16 May 2025 (UTC)
Not done: The changes are not supported by neutral, independent, reliable sources. Please provide reliable sources that support the change you want to be made. Needs more secondary. Valorrr (lets chat) 17:54, 16 May 2025 (UTC)
- @Valorrr: The reliable sources list specifically lists Variety as a reliable source for entertainment trade topics, which this is. The Variety articles are also written by a staff reporter who is independent of the topic. Can you explain why Variety is not reliable? Reopening this request in the meantime so others can weigh in.
