The article is off to a great start; thank you to the creators (listed above) who put this together. As a follow-up: there is also some well-written content about this topic at both Almoravid dynasty and Almohad Caliphate, written a while ago. From a quick look, I think there are details there not covered here (most notably, the question of the identity of the Las Navas de Tolosa Banner), so I'm going to copy that content here with minor adaptations. This is to ensure that the most detailed treatment of the topic is reserved for its dedicated article here and not in other summary sections, thus conforming to Wikipedia:Summary style. If I miss anything or if any inconsistencies or duplications are left in the text as a result, feel free to let me know. R Prazeres (talk) 21:28, 11 January 2025 (UTC)[reply]
Update: I think the basics of this are now done. One minor note: there are now two citation styles in the article, as some of the copied content uses short citation templates and it was easier to preserve that format for precision. It's not urgent, but we'll likely want to use the short citation format more consistently for the rest of the article in the future (as it makes it easier to reference specific pages in each source). Almerían silk is a very short article whose topic is now also covered here at Almoravid and Almohad textiles, which has a section about this as well and still has plenty of room to expand as needed. Since this seems to be specific to the Almoravid period, we can easily consolidate both articles into one. It's more efficient (for both readers and editors) to cover the topic in one location when possible instead of multiple. (If ever the material is expanded to a point where it's too big to cover here, we can always split it again later, but I think that's unlikely in the foreseeable future.)
