[edit]Should we put in a list of the faculty?
I would avoid a staff list, as it would become obsolete quickly. Rather, I would talk about the school, particularly things others might consider exceptional or different. When doing so, mentioning the odd name, might be relevant. Also, mentioning a name of somebody well known outside of the school would also be good, generally (curent/former faculty/alumni). --rob 02:00, 17 October 2005 (UTC)
Graduates
[edit]I attended ACI from 1960 to 1966. Two of my classmates who went on to receive recognition in their fields were Sue King and Ed Clark. As well I have the idea that Bruce Kidd attended because I seem to recall a picture of him on the wall, but I can't find a reference. Takhini (talk) 19:20, 23 September 2012 (UTC) No, to the best of my knowlege Bruce Kidd did not attend ACI. You may be thinking of Bruce Simpson who was a former ACI Athlete of the Year. He was twice a member of the Canadian Olympic team in 1972 and 1976 and competed in the pole vault event.
I attended ACI in '68 and 69 and I remember the picture of Bruce Kidd on display. I was under the impression that he had attended the school. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 69.157.26.183 (talk) 21:57, 30 December 2013 (UTC)
You also forgot to mention David Tsubouchi, former Cabinet Minister in the Ontario Government (1995 - 2003)
Since when did ACI become the worst school in Scarboro........that is defintely not the case and the entry needs to be corrected!!! — Preceding unsigned comment added by 70.50.12.207 (talk) 15:07, 27 October 2012 (UTC)
Alumni
[edit]I just checked all of the alumni entries. Only one had a source for the school, and that was not to a reliable source (a blog). All of the other entries either had an unsourced claim or no mention at all of this school in the subject's articles. Meters (talk) 06:30, 29 January 2018 (UTC)
- Forgot to mention that one other article did have a source, but the source did not actually say that the subject had attended this school, just thtt he attended a school in the same town. I've added a reliable source for one of the alumnii. I've found sources for several of the other alumni but they are not reliable ones and so cannot be used.Meters (talk) 07:35, 29 January 2018 (UTC)
- A year and a half later and no-one has added any sources. I'll make one more attempt at sourcing them and then delete anything that is still unsourced. Meters (talk) 02:08, 22 June 2019 (UTC)
- Did another pass. Last chance to source those still missing sources: Syl Apps, Jr., Daniel Gaudet, Kathryn Greenwood, Gary Jarrett, Brad Park, Kent Ruhnke. We need reliable references saying they attended the school: (not mirrors of Wikipedia, and not just that they were born in Agincourt, or grew up there, or lived there, or attended an unnamed school there). Meters (talk) 03:33, 23 June 2019 (UTC)
- Done [1]. Please do not restore any of these entries without a reliable source showing their attendance. Meters (talk) 06:11, 1 July 2019 (UTC)
- Hi All: I've been very active in the L'Amoreaux C.I. page and we've (I've) had the same struggle - i.e. finding reliable, authorotative published sources to back up facts - especially in our Notable Alumni section. It's taken a lot of time and sleuthing, but I think it's worth it for people to be able to click through a source to check its reliability.

For example, It would be great to include David Tsubuchi on your Agincourt C.I. page and one source, the David Tsucuchi Wikipedia page says "He graduated from Agincourt Collegiate Institute in 1968" but there is no source given for that statement! Very frustrating, but not unusual. The sentence goes on to say that he graduated from York and provides a link to a random York University page - it's Board of Governers. This is odd since there are multiple sources, including interviews with him where he is quoted as speaking about his time at York. Wikipedia citations are important, but admittedly very nerdy and fussy and unless you like going down the rabbit hole not a lot of fun. Here is at least one source from Tsubuchi himself to check out if anyone here wanted to improve the David Tsubouchi page https://www.linkedin.com/pulse/its-never-too-late-old-dogs-my-experience-directors-david-tsubouchi/. Anyway, I wish you folks best luck with your page and finding the sources you're looking for. It's a labour of love for sure. Brad Park?! That would be awesome! Bruce Kidd says he went to Malvern. In an interview he said, "“When I went to Malvern, which was a great high school, people plotted and schemed about beating Parkdale, or Lawrence or North Toronto,” he said." Article here: https://www.utoronto.ca/news/bruce-kidd-former-olympian-takes-helm-hart-house . Not sure if you guys hate on Malvern, but I've added this source to that page and to the Bruce Kidd page.
