As far as I could tell at the time, without checking again now, it was simply a case of renaming the original committee. At a later date the body/office to which the committee reported was changed, but that is covered in the article, I believe. I see no problem in merging the shorter of the two into this one and adding a redirect to this article. --TraceyR (talk) 14:09, 16 December 2009 (UTC)[reply]
